Hello and thanks for visiting CI showcase, my name is Vince and Ive been taking photos since I was just ten years old.

I am unsure of what started my interest in Photography but I remember just thinking when I was young how can this device capture a snapshot of time ? it was only a small l Kodak instermatic back then and modern cameras are so complex now, but was intrigued by this and moved on to more complex cameras trying different film speeds etc.

I completed my first wedding when I was seventeen with a Canon AE1 and also completed photo shoots for family and friends and in those days as I was using film you never knew how the photo was going to look when developed.

My hands used to sweat especially at a wedding or important function. thankfully nothing ever went really wrong but you always had it in the back of your mind what if the films duff ? When i went on holiday I always took slide film with me, normally Kodachrome 64 ASA, It was so good there was no grain in the finished result even when enlarged to 20 x 24, there are a couple of shots in the sunset gallery taken on Kodak slide film and converted for the Web. I get a real kick out of Photography and even if I have been out for a whole afternoon and only get one good shot then its been worthwhile.

I also got myself in to developing and printing soon progressing from black and white to colour and then on to colour reversal which is printing from slides, I found that the quality of the prints from slides very high quality, however the dark room procedure for this is long and difficult but the results are worth while.
